Outlets

Outlet tubes are the gutter fittings that attach the gutter to the downspout. A hole is cut out in the bottom of the gutter in the shape of the outlet tube that you are using. The outlet tube is then placed inside the gutter with the expanded flange keeping it from falling through the cut hole.

Flashing

Flashings are used for water proofing. Usually installed in transition areas, flashings are used to direct water away from a particular area, and towards another. Gutter flashings (a.k.a. gutter apron) are installed underneath the the roofing and into the gutter.

Miters

Miters, or corner pieces, are the gutter fittings that connect two gutters at a corner. Box Miters are the corner pieces made up of two pieces of gutter that are seamed together. These are the contractor favorite because they look good and are fast and easy to install. Good for 90 degree corners. Strip Miters require the two adjoining gutters to be cut on 45 degree angles.
